PHILOSOPHY OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION
AT
ST. JAMES ACADEMY
In St. James Academy, our philosophy of education
encompasses the training of the whole child, spiritually and academically.
Education must involve the cooperation and
coordination of all educators. Parents and teachers hold primary and shared responsibility in the moral, social, emotional
and intellectual development of the student. It is the role of the teacher to determine the level at which each student
can successfully perform and from this, proceed to inspire, stimulate and lead him to Christian social values.
It is our hope that we will equip each child
to meet the challenges in religion, education and society with values and attitudes which flow from their belief in God and
the dignity of man.
